What I’m Wearing ~ 06.05.15 {the END of school!}

Hard to believe, but sometimes seemed like it would never come, the end of school has come and gone and now it is summer!  Somewhere along the way this school year I read a blog post entitled “How to be a Real Fashion Blogger” and step 1 was have a photographer.  Well, this is certainly no “real” fashion blog, but from the start I’ve only hoped to inspire you to put things together you have, or maybe identify how to add something you would like into your closet/shoes/accessories and incorporate in your outfits.  Thank you to those of you who read regularly, give such sweet compliments and comments.  I have always loved finding bargains and good deals and creating my own looks and the blog is a fun way to keep up with it!  Even if it took me 2 hours on the first day of summer vacay to download all the pics from my phone. 🙂  Not sure what this will look like next year, maybe Sunday Style, a favorite outfit from the week and something “after hours”- weekend casual, dressed up, going out or working out.  For now…here’s the last week of 2014-2015 school year!

Disclaimer: What I’m Wearing is in hopes inspiration for your closet, that I can give you some ideas from what I’m wearing. What fits you doesn’t always fit me. What fits me, doesn’t always fit you. So, we all know the style of jeans that work best for us, the brands of shoes we love, etc. I’m not a “linker” to buy all of these outfits here. Truth be told, a lot of my clothes are many many years old and I pick up things all around the place. I’m don’t update my wardrobe every season with the latest and greatest. I don’t have signed up for Pinterest, so if there’s something you like, you can “pin it” to save. Hopefully you’re just inspired, maybe by something you have and didn’t think about putting it together or maybe you are just looking for a simple accessory to add in and these posts can give you some ideas.

Monday, dream big tank by the girls at Junk Gypsy.  This tank is a pretty deep scoop neck, it’s layered with another tank under it, but felt like the scarf was good add in over the deep scoop for school. White jeans needed one more school wear this year too!

Tuesday we were into full days of finals and I started the day with my conference period which meant extra time without students and I got my classroom and computer lab all packed up for summer!  This outfit was chosen with that work in mind…scarf off, flats for lots of trips back and forth between rooms and down the hall to my storage closet.  Put the scarf back on before the bell rang and was ready for classes to resume.  These pants have made several appearances this year, and I am thinking I’m going to showcase some “repeats” through the summer and all the ways to wear them.  Even mustard/greenish colored pants can repeat often!

Wednesday was the last day to have to dress up professional for the year.  This outfit drove me crazy all day and I had a hoodie on within 10 minutes of getting to school. Ever have one of those days?  I do love this soft pink top, but it’s too wide of shoulders for school and kept sliding off my shoulder.  All. Day.  Even under the hoodie.  Note to self, this is a weekend/summer  shirt, not a school shirt.  😐

Thursday was the last day with our students and the bell rang at 11:35…so long to them, have a happy summer, and the last “Spirit Shirt” day of the year.  Felt like the 14-15 shirt was appropriate for this day.  And, I’m still breaking in these new white heels, so a 1/2 day was a good day to wear them again!  With my t-shirt?  Of course. Why not!?  In my hand, my Spark, drink that every morning.  This summer I’m going to be living on Rehydrate after workouts in the Texas heat!!

Friday was the final day to sign off on grades and  turn in the keys!  It was also National Donut Day.  I realize there is a “National Day” for everything these days, and I don’t get behind too many of them, but donut day, I am on board.  So, I stopped.  I saw several “what it takes to work off donuts” posts on my social media feeds, but everything in moderation and sometimes that’s a donut (or two) for me! I live on the edge!  These shorts are from Walmart, Danskin line and I love them – all my favorite greens combined!

Our school Librarian compiles a 3 word video at the end of year, shown during our Staff Luncheon, and these were my 3 words for this year.  As of 10:15am Friday morning, it is finished!!

And, the final week in review, ending up just like I like it…in my summer uniform!

Here’s to fun days ahead and as they say…

Summer.
Hair gets lighter.
Skin gets darker.
Water gets warmer.
Drinks get colder.
Music gets louder.
Nights get longer.
Life gets better.

Blessings,
