2017 Every day. (06.11.17)

I love taking pictures, the every day, the mundane, the big, the fun, the celebrating, even the hard. Images I want to remember.  So, this year, I’m documenting my everyday. A photo a day for my FB/IG and then writing the stories of each on my blog weekly.

A year or so ago I had a remote for my car that wasn’t working well, and of course I put off going to dealership for a replacement, because I felt like that would be equivalent to highway robbery…until I figured out you can get replacement remotes on Amazon. OF COURSE YOU CAN. Because Amazon has EVERYTHING. So, this is actually my 2nd one, and it takes about 5 seconds to program, easiest thing ever! So, if you need new, or additional, remote entry key fobs, check on Amazon. #psa

Of course, when mine looked like this is when I finally took the 5 seconds to replace it… #procrastinator

I went on Monday night to a swim meet to watch one of my bestie’s daughters swim.  Swim meets might be one of the best examples of organized chaos I’ve ever seen. This wasn’t my first swim meet, and I was equally impressed as the first one!  Fun fact of swim meets for littles: Sharpies are apparently everyone’s best friend…you get your name and your events written on your back/arm. This helps organize the chaos! 🙂

Look at these cute swimmers! They collected lots of ribbons for the night!

Tuesday afternoon means reading, or trying to read, for class that evening. Auggie isn’t such a fan of the class articles. Truth be told, I was an article skimmer for most of this summer session’s articles.

Home sweet home. I love the table and equal to a breakfast table, this is my favorite table in all the land. I spent a few days at home with the littles while they were at my Mom and Dad’s. My mom cooks 3 meals a day most every day, and this night was roast, veggies, rice, fruit and of course there were several options for dessert after.

On Thursday morning we were sitting on the porch and my nephew asked how far Waco, Texas was from my parents. He loves Fixer Upper, and we decided last minute to take off on a road trip to the Magnolia Market/Silos/Bakery/Garden Shop.  This wall of clocks was a display in the shop. I love a wall of clocks, and it reminded me sometimes you plan the day, sometimes you sieze the day, sometimes you watch the clock, and sometimes time flies.

Before we went to Magnolia, I had been up and at ’em for 6:45 am breakfast with one of my besties from my hometown. I don’t keep in touch with too many people from high school, but this friend and I have stayed in touch through the years from writing letters to texting and now that she lives back in our hometown, it’s fun to have more frequent visits in person!

Ran into a sweet friend and her precious little girl at the Magnolia Market.

And we had the most fun on our trip to Magnolia!

It’s no secret I love words. I also love words on shirts. But, ones that matter. These are words from one of my favorite hymns and also a reminder, our stories are a beautiful song of this life. Even when they might be a little ripped or tattered, our stories are ours, they matter and we should sing them and share them with others.

My church had a women’s conference which included Lisa Harper as the main speaker. She is one of my favorite Bible teachers, and it was a treat to get a few minutes to visit with her at our merch tables!

Sitting and chatting with these friends during the downtime of the day!
