#write31days | October 5

September was a month for me.  In a word, it was dreary.  In so many ways.

The thing I kept going back to throughout September was circling. There were things that I had to really circle in prayer.  And, I asked for help from a couple of my besties. The ones who can do the things when you can’t.

These were a few words from The Circle Maker that I read and reread:

And, this tweet that I saved.

I have long had memorized and repeat regularly to myself Exodus 14:14, “The Lord is fighting for you, you only need to be still.”

Sitting still can be very hard. It requires a great amount of surrender against the flesh desire to fix.  And, still requires us to sort out the things in our mind. Which can be very hard, depending on the situation. It doesn’t happen once. It happens over and over, thus we have to #doitagain.

To remind myself to be still.
Ultimately to remind me to surrender.
Jesus knows my heart better than anyone.
He knows the things that keep me up at night and he longs to fill the questions.
But, he can not do that if I am not still, to receive.

If you can’t sit still, maybe circle and pray Exodus 14:14 over and over until you can. Because there will come another time when it’s been a day or a week or a month, and we have to #doitagain.
