2017. Every day. (06.04.17)

I love taking pictures, the every day, the mundane, the big, the fun, the celebrating, even the hard. Images I want to remember. So, this year, I’m documenting my everyday. A photo a day for my FB/IG and then writing the stories of each on my blog weekly.

A couple of years ago my New Year’s Resolution was to have fresh flowers in my house. It’s one of my favorite resolutions ever and one I have stuck to more than probably any other! I usually pick up $5 or $6 flowers on my weekly grocery store trip, and this week roses happened to be on sale for $6, so I changed up from my usual spider mums or pom poms for some roses. My favorite roses are the “antique” ones, mostly cream with touch of green/pink on the tips.

We’ve had a lot of afternoon showers that give way to some beautiful sunset evenings. I’ve tried to sit on my porch and enjoy the evenings for a few minutes.

One of my favorite things on my desk at work is this little quote box, I try to rotate it most days. Today’s quote was “A year from now you will wish you had started today.” Karen Lamb. Isn’t that so true, we get so bound by fear and “what if’s” that we put off and put off, and time doesn’t wait for us. So that thing? Go start it!!

While I was working on a project at my table Auggie was busy with his toys and pretty much had them separated into two piles, of which he was so proud! 🙂

I had a fairly large lettering project, which I worked on most nights of the week to finish up. This project is one of my very favorites I’ve ever done! These books were a gift from a friend to her besties on a 40th birthday trip.

Most days after work I get home and have a quick snack before we head out for our walk. Auggie doesn’t have much patience for that and is ready to go. This is his usual, standing on my lap waiting to go. But of course he gets told “no”, and sits over on the couch to wait.

I stayed up late Thursday night lettering (hello Friday’s off) and caught the clock at 12:34 for the second time this week, though this time it was AM! My little nephew always wants to see the clock at this time, and can’t figure out how I always do. So, every time I catch 12:34 on a clock, it also makes me think of him.

Best use of a Friday off?? Holding tiny babies for 3 hours!! I went to see my bestie and her little newborn twins and this sweet guy napped with me all morning while we had a great visit with donuts and Sonic drinks! Such a treat!

Saturday fun at the ballpark with my Mom and Dad for an Astros WIN and Mercy Me concert after. Such a great day! Also, hotdogs, popcorn and cokes! The best!
