He’s getting good at opening presents, and dug right into this one! Not quite sure how to eat a pupsicle…

I talked about my 30 days of reading last month, click here, and I’m still reading The Secret Keeper. Took a little time on Monday evening to read after our walk, and since Tuesday was a holiday, I stayed up late. Most days of me reading I have a little buddy sitting right by, or on the couch with me…. Or awaiting me to play fetch with him.

Last year on the 4th of July Auggie was a little secret at home with me, and this year he was a patriotic pup with his bandanna. 🙂 The 4th was pretty uneventful; I went for breakfast with a couple of besties, did some shopping for my upcoming trips, went to the pool and hung out at home for the evening. Perfect day of rest!

I met a Polished luncheon attendee for coffee and a visit, such a treat to get to know new people, share stories and connect for purpose of sharing Jesus with others. I am excited for our fall semester of Polished to kick off on August 24th!

Grades were finally posted for my last class in the first half of my MBA! Hooray!! 1/2 way there!! I finished up the Leadership Concentration portion of my courses this summer and start the second year in the fall. Also, I don’t think I ever had a 4.0 in my undergrad….

Friday was a treat, spontaneous lunch with 2 of my 3 college besties and a couple of littles who joined us too! Love being able to see these girls who I keep up with during the week through an ongoing group text. Twenty plus years of friendship is certainly a gift.
I had some chores to do on Friday, one of which was laundry…and this is pretty much a summary of my summer laundry stack, all the Nike shorts + socks and tanks/sports bras for daily walks with Auggie. And, a second pair when I get home because it’s gotten so hot that I sweat through the clothes I wear on our walk/jog.Also, Friday Auggie and I took a little road trip to my Mom and Dad’s, the littles are there too so we packed up and headed home through Saturday.

Saturday I went to the hay field with my Dad to get 50 bales of hay for his horses. We got it loaded pretty quickly, thankfully with a helper to stack when I threw into the trailer because we were trying to beat a rainstorm! This was Dad and I before we started…he drove and I loaded.
Here’s the hay field, so pretty all freshly cut! Though it looks like a sunny day from this angle, you can see clouds brewing in the previous picture.
We got the trailer backed in the barn and inside about 5 minutes before a major storm came through, gave us time to eat supper and then we went back out to unload and the rain stopped. And, here I am after we finished unloading! #amen Also, this is how the day started on Saturday, and lest you think this was breakfast, it was only an appetizer to a full breakfast of bacon, eggs, biscuits, hash-browns and fruit! So, that hay field workout was well earned and definitely worth the piece of cake (or 2) I had that day!
