Holiday Memories: Christmas 2020

It is our First Married Christmas!  Yay!

We were able to see all of our families through the season, which was great and enjoyed time together at home, too.  Here’s a look back at the season….

A few annual gatherings with friends…pajama breakfast for dinner – is there a better party combination?  No!  This is one of my favorite parties of the season!

Speaking of favorites, a favorite things dinner with besties – we spent the year meeting together for Bible Study via Zoom and it was fun to be together around the table and share favorite things.

Day with college besties + ornament exchange, always a much anticipated and appreciated day! Friends through 20 years is such a gift!

We had a date night out to Taste of Texas – their food is always excellent and the Christmas decorations are so beautiful!

We went out with friends on a chilly winter night to Zoo Lights.

We spent mornings by the Christmas tree

And evenings by the fire

It’s Auggie’s world – we just live here.

We took the boat out for a CHILLY boat ride!

Worked a few Christmas puzzles

Spent Sundays of Advent at our Church

Enjoyed our decorated house and is it Christmas if you don’t have Christmas pajamas!?

We headed out for a Christmas Road Trip to see family starting with the 4G and ending up in Dallas

Christmas meals around the table

And, gifts around the tree

A Christmas Eve first:  attending a high school football playoff game where Cody officiated.

We ended Christmas Eve in Dallas with family

And, helped Santa out with his chores

Had a fun morning with family + littles and their new Christmas toys.

We got back home to have Christmas together at our house.

Of course, Auggie loves presents and is quick to unwrap them!

Ending the night with pie + a few games of fetch with new toys.

Last Christmas celebration to wrap up the season with the littles

And, in our family, you should know to never trust the box!

New Year’s Eve we hung out with friends and a lot of fireworks on a chilly night!

We toasted to 2021 with mimosas in the morning in our wedding champagne glasses.

And, ended the day with chicken fried deer steaks, black eyed peas and cabbage.

We are so grateful for this first year of marriage and are one month away from our first anniversary! The holidays were a fun time together and a lot of sweet memories made. We’ll work to establish our own traditions through the years and are thankful for these days we were able to spend together during our holidays breaks from school.

Above all the celebrating with gifts and gatherings, we celebrate the birth of Christ and the gift He is to our lives, sustaining us in all seasons and giving us hope for eternity. We pray you know him as your Savior and recognize the gift of Christ to your life.

Blessings,
Angie & Cody
