Home for the Holidays: Christmas 2020

Merry Christmas Season!  It’s our first Married Christmas and combining of all the Christmas things! I took over the living room while Cody was out hunting and got everything out of the bins to see what all we had to get it put together for our first Christmas together in our home.  Welcome in! 

I love bookshelves/shelves and I took off a lot of decor used through the year to add in Christmas decorations.  Here’s a look around our living room:  

Cody had a collection of Nutcrackers and a nativity that was built for him with a new piece each year as a child from his church. 

I also had a nativity and he had a Christmas village, while I had a collection of little houses to create a woodland village. 

And, these are a couple of side tables 

The  front room got my old Christmas tree, which required some light work…and includes the addition of our new Mr. and Mrs. ornaments. 

 

The bedding was my bedding I have used for the last several years. 

We received a couple of “First Christmas as Mr. and Mrs.” ornaments that were fun to add to the tree. Our tree tells story of our lives with ornaments collected through the years and we’re adding ornaments as souvenirs of our travels.  

Our bedroom got a little touch of Christmas, too! 

Auggie “helped” with wrapping….

I always feel like the tree is complete once the presents are wrapped and under the tree!

More than the tinsel and the lights,  the presents and the parties, we pray for Jesus to be near to your this Christmas season, He is the reason we celebrate and the greatest gift to our lives.
