#write31days | October 5

This week’s Thursday Truth is one of my very favorite verses and one I cling to often.

21 But this I call to mind,
    and therefore I have hope:

22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
    his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.
24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
    “therefore I will hope in him.”

Lamentations 3:21-24

Here’s what I love about this verse….

I have HOPE because I call these things to mind:

(1) The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.

(2) His mercy never comes to an end.

(3) The dawn brings promises of starting over.

(4)  God IS faithful.

(5) God IS enough.

(6) The world is not where I find HOPE, I find it in God alone.

Maybe one of these truths will speak to you today. I pray that you are reminded of these truths and cling to them in the best of days and the days that are hardest.

    Hi Angie – I love these verses to, and often recite them to calm/soothe me when life throws me for a loops. Matthew 11:28 is also another “cling-to” verse. Have a blessed day… L
