Thursday Truth

I have found myself this week thinking back on this verse over and over….

And, this is truth.

I think the second half of this verse is also so applicable in these times.
You can probably relate, something lately has crushed your spirit.

It might be the times we are living in.

It might be something in your family.

It might be something with your kids.

It might be something with your job.

Something has crushed your spirit.

Or maybe something has broken your heart recently.

The Lord is near.

I know this to be true.

No one promised that this life would be easy, and some days it just feels incredibly hard.

But the Lord IS near.

He knows when our hearts are broken.

Even when no one else knows what’s going on.

On the days when we dress up and respond with “good” and “ok” when really not.

Sometimes we have to fake it to make it.

But on those days I feel like the Lord is most near. It’s almost like you have a secret, with just Him. And, my dependence on Him alone gets me through the day.

So, be reminded today, when you’re brokenhearted and crushed in spirit.

The Lord is near.

Angie – thank you for this post and its timing. I was in a car accident on Monday – innocent victim of a supposed road rage incident. Not my fault – I was north bound, they were south bound and came over the divider and into me. I am bruised but okay, and my car was totaled. I am feeling all the emotions – thankful for God’s protection, sad for losing my car, angry that I have to deal with all the paperwork for being where I was. And asking why… I didn’t want/ask for this; I was minding my own business. Thank you for this post for cheering me up and reminding that our Lord is near.
