Holiday Memories: Halloween 2022

We had a fun Halloween weekend, and another “first” as a married couple this Halloween!

Sunday night, our church hosted Trunk or Treat, this was our second year to participate with our Small Group which was fun.  I remember last year, Trunk or Treat was of the first events we did together with new friends and I’m thankful for a year of growing and deepening friendships.  Relationships are very important to us, and these friends have been an answer to prayer.

Our theme for adults this year was 80’s, and it was fun to see everyone dressed up in their 80’s costumes.

Our Rodeo Houston mascot made an appearance, and if you know us, you know Rodeo Houston has been a part of our lives for a combined 30+ years and how we met

On Halloween we stayed home to pass out candy in our neighborhood, and planned to watch Astros Game 3 of the World Series when the candy was done.  Hence, our Astros “costumes”, but the game was postponed.

And, this was our first Halloween at Home in the neighborhood since we got married!  2020 was a bust + we were gone to a football game, and 2021 was Trunk or Treat at church.  It was fun to be out in our driveway greeting neighbors and seeing littles in their costumes.

And, Auggie would have liked to dig into that bowl, but alas, he didn’t get any candy!

He did give a side eye and good cause for laughs trying to get a pic of all three of us looking at the camera!

My work had a virtual Halloween Party which was fun since we all work remotely.  I shared a simple mummy craft idea on our Zoom meeting, and thought they turned out pretty cute.  The idea, plus a lot of other fun Halloween ideas, are from this post. I definitely will make these next year and add to our Halloween decor.

From our home to yours, we hope you were able to create a few special memories this Halloween.

Blessings,
The Robertsons
