What I’m Wearing: Holidays

Wrapped up the holiday season with a few comfy/cozy outfits and a couple of dressed up outfits, too. Here’s a little look back into what I wore :

This outfit got a repeat…once to church, and once to the Theatre.  I often re-wore my church clothes on Monday to work, but since I don’t leave to work, that doesn’t usually happen.  This was super comfy for the Theatre.  Green pants are a Marshall’s find and the black turtleneck has been around for a few winters.  Headband + Christmas earrings to finish it off. I recently picked up these Charles David black suede booties, found as “last pair” on the Marshall’s website significantly cheaper than any other site. #bargainshopperalways

The Light Blonde (not sponsored) has been one of my favorite Tshirt companies for many years, I love their purpose, and messaging.  So, when they had a last minute Christmas sale I placed an order and added a “mystery sweatshirt”; which I’ve never done before. Little bit of risk in you never know what you’re going to get…I got something I never would have picked, absolutely love, perfectly worn cozy fabric, and I think it will be great year round…a REJOICE hoodie.  It got immediate wear during our freeze days before Christmas!

Christmas Eve was still near freezing, I overestimated my layers, and was a little warm inside at church, but perfect when we got back outside.  Black velvet pants, ivory eyelash sweater – easy combo, pieces that are several years old, plus Christmas accessories of tartan plaid headband and Christmas tree earrings.

A Light Blonde T I got was “Little Miss Joy to the World”, perfect for Christmas afternoon with family! Same Old Navy jeans + Nike sneakers on repeat all fall.

In between Christmas and New Years found me in leggings or joggers most days, as we were both off work, didn’t have much planned and stayed cozy around the house.  I mentioned these two on Friday Favorites…a vest I found at TJ Maxx and super soft pullover from Cody for Christmas. Win. Win. Happy with this to be my January and February uniform!

New Years Eve we headed out for an early dinner at a favorite restaurant.  I like the leather trend, but I’m not buying in too deep to it.  Seems like stores have so many pieces, and it is tricky how they look. I found this button up at a local boutique for $25 and that felt like a reasonable spend for a trendy item that I won’t be too tied to when leather passes by. Also, feel like I will get wear out of this top during Rodeo season. These flare jeans are several years old from Old Navy-hallelujah for flares coming “back in”, even though they never really went all the way out for me.

Put the comfys of this post on repeat and that’s where you’ll find me most days in January!  Find the things you love, keep the classics in your closet, add a couple of seasonal accessories, and that is the perfect formula for what I’m wearing and hope it works for you, too.

Blessings,
Angie
