It’s Wednesday, so that means What I Wore is up for today…

I don’t know about you, but I’m LOVING the fall trends in tops this year!  I don’t typically buy into too many “trendy” pieces, but I have needed long sleeved tops (blouses?) for work and I’ve found so many in the stores, and added a couple of my closet. The bell sleeves have added length to sleeve, which is perfect for tall girls like me! This is our season to pick up long sleeved tops! So, this week’s post is dedicated to the “Sleeves of Fall 2017”! 🙂

One thing I’ve bene specifically looking for is tops to go with gray, navy and/or camel colored pants.  I have so many things that pair easily with black pants, but needed things that could mix and match with colored pants.  I picked this magenta top up at Target and paired it with gray pants this day. I’ll also wear this with navy (and likely leopard heels) and camel colored pants as well through the fall and winter. Of course, it will also go with black and will be cute with jeans.  I find myself looking at pieces for my closet like this lately, can I wear it to work, will it work with jeans, is it something I would wear for dinner or evening event?  This is the perfect example of checking all of those boxes!

This is actually a t-shirt, that I can double for work, or wear casual with jeans or even shorts, since Fall here is still 80’s!  I got this one from Francesca’s during a summer sale, the sleeves are 3/4 length and it is a navy stripe, though hard to tell, and paired with navy pants. Since tops like this don’t really work with cardigans, I grabbed a blanket scarf for the office this day.  It’s no secret I love stripes paired with floral and plaid!

I am loving the olive color trend this season! This dress has been in my closet for a while, I picked it up at Steinmart when it wasn’t really in season, and I finally wore it.  It was super comfy for the work day, but could transition for an event, wedding and I’ll definitely wear it to church. I’ll also pair this dress with different shoes and jewelry to change it up.  The ties on the sleeves are a simple detail that isn’t too trendy and will last me well beyond this fall.

Floral is also everywhere, and I love floral prints, but am kind of picky about the print. I first wore this top with dark gray jeans and my pink slip on loafers, and this day to work I wore it with camel colored pants. You can’t see in the pic, but it buttons up the back and has a 3/4 sleeve flared ruffle, can be worn half-tuck (my fav) or untucked and certainly pairs with work pants or jeans. I got this shirt at Nordstrom Rack a few weeks ago.

So, that’s a roundup of some fun sleeve details for this fall!

See you back here tomorrow for a Thursday Truth.

Beautiful tops, beautiful woman! Love the magenta top; I think a royal blue or hunter green would also look great on you and mix and match well with all your “bottoms”.
